Hugo Garcia is a contemporary Dominican painter whose strong artistic inclinations began at the young age of six by expressing his feelings and ideas through tempera and other water-based mediums displaying colorful figures.
His art grew, matured, and transcended throughout all of his life stages up to now, where he’s morphed into a fine abstract expressionist artist that transpires and delivers very serene and peaceful ethereal motifs full of symbolism and deep meaning, with no lack of robust color contrast and rich textures that come out of a kind of magic spatula; brush strokes of precise delicacy.
His pieces of art are well recognized as representative of the balance between ethereal figures and veiled tones of calm, dream-like compositions. All of which feature overlapping imagery from the realms of his own dreams, born from a sweet childhood and young adult years spent in his colorful Caribbean country.
